Latin American Music Industry

       For my magazine, I decided that I will be doing a Latin American music magazine. My magazine will focus on connecting the Latin American music industry with the rest of the world, and providing information on not only popular artists but as well as upcoming artists who are beginning to make a name for themselves. The magazine will overall focus Latin American music news. One thing that I plan to really focus on as I continue to work on my magazine is to stay away from making my magazine seem like a celebrity gossip magazine. My intention is to provide news, not gossip on the Latin American music industry and its artists. I feel like this is extremely important to staying focused on the specific genre of my magazine and not steering away into another. 

       As I began to research the Latin American music industry I learned that its mostly popular amongst teenagers and younger adults, and of course it is more popular amongst people of Hispanic origin, but, the genre of music is said to be leading the way in music globally. I found this extremely beneficial because although my genre is specific to Latin American music, due to its increase in global popularity, I feel like I will be able to generalize my magazine more to the world, rather than to just one set group of people.
